ATC.Digital is a digital agency for the charity, nonprofit, higher education and health sectors. We design seamless user experiences, build powerful websites, manage effective PPC campaigns, improve social media performance and build robust web applications.

Frontend design and development will pose a lot of interesting challenges in terms of improving ease of use, customizability, productivity of end users, and speed and scale of the application. In this role, you will be responsible for working on a diverse range of devices, from desktop computers to mobile devices.

We are currently looking for a rockstar UI / UX Designer.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with designers, project managers and back-end engineers to implement versatile front-end solutions to tricky web development problems.


• Embrace emerging standards while promoting best practices in order to push the limits of what a browser can do.


• Manage your own time, and work well both independently and as part of a team.


• Launch, iterate and make a difference. Provide front-end coding expertise, and be ready to make our products better for our clients.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience


• 2-3 years of relevant programming experience in JavaScript, HTML, CSS


• Ability to communicate design concept ideas through sketches and wireframes


• Highly skilled in Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote and other design tools


• Experience in web technologies (Object-Oriented JavaScript, HTML, CSS) and experience with web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3


• Effective problem solving skills. Adaptable, self-motivated, and willing to take ownership


• Enthusiasm for an iterative design process, driven by group critique


• Excellent collaboration skills


• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present work to executives and large groups

Preferred qualifications

• An excellent on-line portfolio showcasing user experience and visual design work for desktop and touch devices


• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (AngularJS or React) and CSS pre-processing frameworks (such as Sass or Less)


• Experience with a scripting language, such as Python, Ruby, etc


• Ability to prototype in HTML/CSS/JavaScript, AfterEffects, or other tools is a plus


• Previous experience working in e-commerce environment is a plus
