Department/Division: General Services Division / Operations Group
Reports to: Unit Head - Engineering & Maintenance
Grade: OG-II
1. JOB PURPOSE:
To look after construction, renovation & maintenance works and ensure execution in accordance to the Bank’s approved design, specifications, and bills of quantity. To prepare note regarding approval of tender for PC approval. Award of work to the contractor after approval of tender from the competent authority. Site visits and monitoring of the projects.
1. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- To coordinate with consultants/architects for the preparation of building drawings, cost estimates, BOQs and tender documents of civil and related works involved in construction, renovation and maintenance across the Bank.
- To coordinate with business teams for finalization and approval of layout plans.
- To arrange the Tender documents, calling for tenders, engage in tender opening process and arrangements for approvals.
- To monitor sites and ensure the quality of work as per standards. Preparing progress reports. Liaison and coordination with the contractors and consultants throughout renovation/construction period.
- Checking of contractors’ bills duly verified by the Architects / Consultants for processing and release of payment from Central Accounts.
- To arrange and process the capitalization of the project cost in coordination with Central Accounts.
- To make sure the bank rules are followed at all the times during the project duration.
