| Job Description: |
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform functional and regression testing of web based and mobile applications
- Ensure that all defects are entered into the defect tracking system (JIRA)
- Other duties as assigned
- Occasional evening and weekend work to meet deadlines
Test Planning
- Maintain test plans, scenarios, scripts, and procedures
Software Testing
- Execute manual functional testing based on analysis and understanding of the requirements and deployment environment. Verify those test results through analysis of user interfaces, databases, printed output, and data transmissions.
- Regression test to insure release quality
- Provide functional testing to insure features are complete and function as expected
- Document software defects using JIRA
- Identify, analyze, and document problems with software function, output, or screens
- Provide support during software installation or configuration
Requirements:
- Interest in Quality Assurance and/or any previous QA experience (less than a year)
- Previous experience working in a technical environment most ideal
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Clear communicator (written and verbal) – to ensure ability to write test plans and to communicate bugs to developers and other stakeholders
- Be comfortable and adaptive working in a timeline-heavy environment
- Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables – ensures the ability to find the bad defects and bugs quickly
- Professional demeanor with the ability to multi task
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Desire to build knowledge and skills
- Assist in building a culture of learning and continuous improvement for the team
- Self motivated and work with minimal supervision
