Summary

• QuickBase (QB) is a web-based front-end and back-end database that supports all of Goodway's internal applications.
• These applications include our Centralized Campaign Management System (CCMS), Creative Asset Management System (CAMS), IT Work Request System, GW Sales Manager (a salesforce equivalent built for Goodway), and DCOM, the QB app that manages our dealer- and auto manufacturer-facing co-op sign-up portals.
• The QB Developer is the primary person responsible for administering these applications, making enhancements, performing maintenance, and creating new applications on an as-needed

Responsibilities

• Handle QuickBase application development and implementation.
• Customize off-the-shelf applications, build custom applications, and develop custom pages using both the QuickBase API as well as regular QuickBase interface.
• Utilize scripting languages like JavaScript, Perl, Python, and PHP to develop and configure customized QuickBase applications.
• Provide technical assistance for development, design, and systems integration across multiple internal client engagements, from definition phase through implementation.
• Execute development plans across multiple projects and revise, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements.
• Estimate development effort, including cost, time frame, resources needed, etc.
• Become familiar with multiple development methodologies and evaluate technical risks and issues throughout a project.
• Suggest alternative technical solutions to meet client requirements more efficiently and to bolster a project's reusability and longer life.
• Promote and coordinate technical knowledge harvesting within the organization.
• Track and identify new opportunities to improve our methodology and training offerings.
• Recognize system deficiencies and implement effective solutions.

Job Qualifications

Musts:

• BS in computer science
• 2+ years of experience with QuickBase and QuickBase application-building techniques
• Experience developing applications using Relational Data Technologies, such as: SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.
• Experience with open-source web development technologies, such as: Restfull APIs, HTML5, XML, JavaScript, Perl, PHP
• Proven abilities in application development as well as ability to multitask and manage multiple tasks with changing priorities in a cross-functional development environment
• Strong analytical and interpersonal characteristics
• Comfortable in sole developer role as well as with being one of the members of a larger development team
• Ability to quickly pick up new programming languages and adapt to new technologies
• Ability to work in the United States without any action required by Goodway
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey ideas accurately and concisely to both technical and non-technical employees
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and time effectively
• Highly effective at working independently in a telecommuting environment
