Horizon Technologies is looking for a CAD Engineer. The incumbent will be responsible for designing products using computer-aided design software applications such as AutoCAD, Pro/ENGINEER, and SolidWorks. Designs products, creates and tests prototypes, and oversees other drafters.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design frameworks for a project.
• Design, develop and engineer high-quality models using 3D and 2D CAD tools.
• Work with industrial and packaging engineers to develop, manufacture, and market a product.
• Analyze, design, and build business/technical solutions that deliver the client’s goal.
• Create detailed design documentation.
• Estimate time and costs required to complete the project.
• Code and test software.
• Define, create and maintain development methodologies, procedures and standard
• Design floor plans, elevations, and realistic renderings with the help of software.
• Create designs for medicine, automotive, electronics, and the home.
• Aid in the selection of materials for the products.
• Produce final design specifications.
• Supervise assistant drafters and other workers involved in the project design.
• Ensure that all work carried out is in compliance with company design, safety, quality, environmental compliance and procedural standards.

Job Requirements:

• An associate’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Diploma or certificate in Auto CAD or other relevant fields.
• Candidate will be Preferred with US, San Francisco based experience
• Candidate with Matterport experience is a big plus
• Use of hands to operate computers.
• Extensive knowledge of the company’s preferred software.
• Make decisions based on designs.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with others to solve problems.
• Firm grasp of mathematics, engineering, and industry information.
• Fluency in written & speaking English is a must
